A new Medical-Social Center in Vulcanesti

On November 28, 2019 within the project "Ensuring the quality and accessibility of medical-social home care services in the Republic of Moldova 2019-2022" implemented by Caritas Czech Republic, in partnership with AO HomeCare, AO Pro-Development and UTA Executive Committee of Gagauzia - opened the doors of the "Saint Anna" Medical-Social Center in Vulcanesti city, one of the 10 medical-social centers opened with the financial support of the Czech Republic through the "Czech Development Cooperation" Program.

At the opening of the event were present Irina Vlah, Bashcan of Gagauzia; H.E. Zdeněk Krejčí, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Moldova, Viorica Dumbrăveanu, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection, Vacav Balek, Head of External Development Cooperation Directorate Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Katerina Šilhánková, representative of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Republic of Moldova, Ana Kremenić, officer and financial coordinator for the Balkan countries and Moldova from Caritas Czech Republic and other officials.
 
The "Saint Anna" Medical-Social Center aims to improve the quality of life of elderly people, by ensuring access to professional medical-social care services at home and within the Center. The center is equipped with all the necessary technical and medical equipment to successfully carry out quality medical-social care activities.
 
The project "Ensuring the quality and accessibility of medical-social home care services in the Republic of Moldova 2019-2022" aims to increase the quality and availability of homecare services provided to elderly people in the Republic of Moldova. The project will support the efforts of local NGOs, by developing their capacity, to initiate institutional, procedural and legislative changes in the public administration sectors in line with the needs of elderly people and local stakeholders.
