Project purpose: The project aims to ensure access to quality healthcare, safe and dignified shelter and coverage of basic needs of vulnerable refugees from Ukraine in Moldova. The intervention will focus on providing assistance to refugees at existing refugee reception centres and in host communities across Moldova.
Project duration: 28.03.2022-27.03.2023
Project objectives:
- Providing access to immediate and medium-term healthcare services to Ukrainian refugees through the provision of medical materials to refugee reception centres and covering costs of specialized psychological care for vulnerable beneficiaries
- Supporting 200.000 beneficiaries with access to safe and dignified shelter by regularly procuring consumables for existing refugee reception centres and providing cash support to families hosting refugees
- Ensuring access to food and coverage of basic needs for 9,100 refugees by providing one-off immediate cash support and transitional support
Project target groups:
Altogether, the action will provide support to over 214.000 unique refugees.
Activities:
Under immediate assistance, will be provided:
- Medical and hygiene supplies to 5 000 beneficiaries in refugee reception centres (health);
- Consumables for refugee reception centres that will serve 200 000 beneficiaries (shelter);
- One-off multipurpose cash assistance for 7 100 beneficiaries at refugee reception centres (food security and livelihoods)
Under medium-term assistance, will be supported most vulnerable refugees through:
- Ensuring access to psychological and mental health services for 500 beneficiaries (health);
- Provision of transitional safety net for over 2 000 beneficiaries.
