Project duration: September 2023- November 2023
Project goal: Capacity building of youth associations in order to increase their level of involvement in community actions.
Project partners: A.O. "Homecare"
Intervention activities focus on:
- Conducting trainings for youth workers, with the participation of a youth expert to prepare them to become effective guides and assistants for the young people involved.
- Forming Youth Clubs in the 8 localities, identifying and selecting young people with commitment and willingness to actively participate in the clubs' activities.
- Organise a Youth Club meeting with representatives of local public authorities, identifying opportunities for collaboration on joint initiatives.
- Conduct seminars and trainings for young people in PR and advocacy, "Digital Storytelling".
- Holding Intergenerational Club meetings "Embracing Generations: connecting and socialising" which will facilitate interaction between young and old, promoting social cohesion and mutual support.
- Launch a public awareness campaign on social activism for all ages.
- Conducting Intergenerational Club sessions "Embracing Generations: connecting and socialising" which will facilitate interaction between young and old, promoting social cohesion and mutual support.
- Launch a public awareness campaign on social activism for all ages.
- Create a digital product entitled "Exploring Identity: stories of young people's journey in search of self".
- The Inter-club meeting at the end of the project will give young people and club coordinators an opportunity to present their achievements and share their experiences.
Project objectives:
- Strengthen and support the work of 8 youth groups in 8 administrative-territorial units by the end of 2023;
- Involve at least 80 young people from 8 administrative-territorial units in social innovation and community development initiatives by the end of 2023.
Direct and indirect beneficiaries of the project:
The direct beneficiaries of the project are 80 young people from 8 municipalities and about 80 elderly people. At the same time, as indirect beneficiaries will be the general population of young and elderly people in the respective localities, as well as representatives of the main community institutions.
