In Moldova, the number of people requiring long-term care at home is constantly growing. This has increased the need to train specialists who can provide medical and social care at home. Recently, a qualification standard for the profession of “home caregiver” has been approved. Regular monitoring trips to the Caritas Czech Republic country offices are essential part of our work. They allow us to not only strengthen our working relationships with our colleagues abroad but to also meet our local and international partners and donors. And of course see the results of our work with our own eyes. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we could not travel to our country offices as much as we were used to. Evžen Diviš, Regional Manager of Caritas Czech Republic, has recently returned from his monitoring trip to Moldova, where he travelled after nearly a two-year break.
